Spices Of Quang Nam
Visual Identity, Packaging Design
We have developed a comprehensive visual identity and packaging for Quang Nam province, intended to increase both domestic and international awareness, boost tourism, and enhance the development of local artisanal and agricultural products.

The Italian Cooperation Agency, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Province of Quang Nam, has funded a project to promote reforestation and reduce poverty. The “Market-Oriented Agro-forestry Project to Reduce Poverty” has aided over 10,000 farmers in improving more than 1,800 hectares of home and forest gardens.
The project has also supported farmers in commercializing their products. Many farmers in Quang Nam live far from markets and lack bargaining power when trading their goods. By training farmers in post-harvest practices and integrating them into product value chains, the project has helped transform traditional locally grown spices (black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric) into high-quality products that reach competitive markets in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner.

Spice Logos
Reflecting the pure natural quality of the products, the simple design features bring authenticity, reliability, and contemporary minimalism to the creative expression. A stylized typeface influenced by Vietnamese culture, combined with line drawings, adds a handcrafted visual feel. Below the main logo element, product-specific names are set in a classic font, with subtle color variations representing each spice.

There are four patterns used for the four products: black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric. Each pattern corresponds to the color of the product it represents. These patterns increase packaging aesthetics and draw upon graphic imagery consistent with the Quang Nam logo. The patterns are easily recognizable, enabling customers to identify the brand quickly. By branding each spice with a consistent pattern, the brand forms a cohesive collection.
